National Safety Council Defensive Driving Courses

The National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course is held on the dates listed below. Successful completion of the course allows for a two point reduction from an individual’s drivers license point accumulation total, unless the court is excusing the citation points upon proof of course completion. The course is sponsored & hosted by members of the Alaska Peace Officers Association.

All dates listed are on a Monday & Tuesday evening. Attendance is required to obtain the completion certificate or to satisfy the court. This is an eight hour course, four hours each evening. Course fee is $75 cash or check – no credit cards. Course registration is between 5:30 – 6:00 pm on the day of the course at the training facility located in room 157, Old University Park School, 1000 University Avenue. Map Quest for directions.

The National Safety Council’s Alive @ 25 Course is held on the dates listed below. Successful completion of the course allows for a two point reduction from an individual’s drivers license point accumulation total, unless the court is excusing the citation points upon proof of course completion. Target audience is ages 16 to 25. The course is sponsored & hosted by members of the Alaska Peace Officers Association.

All dates listed are on a Saturday morning. Attendance is required to obtain the completion certificate or to satisfy the court. This is a four hour course. Course fee is $75 cash or check – no credit cards. Course registration is between 8:30 – 9:00 am on the day of the course at the training facility located in room 157, Old University Park School, 1000 University Avenue. Map Quest for directions.
