Meetings

​The Anchorage Chapter meets the first Tuesday of each month at Golden Corral (4520 Union Square Drive near Tudor and C street).  A $10 buffet lunch is served at 11:30 am. The luncheons include speakers on topics of interest to our members.
No chapter meetings JUNE through AUGUST.   

The Capital City Chapter in Juneau meets the first Wednesday of each month at 12:30pm at the Moose Lodge.  Our board meetings also take place during this time. Lunch can be purchased at the venue.

The Farthest North Chapter meets the first Wednesday of each month at 12pm at the Big Dipper Ice Arena conference room @ 1920 Lathrop St, Fairbanks.  It is located on the 2nd floor toward the back of the building

The Farthest North Chapter Board meets at 12pm on the last Friday of the month at rotating locations.   

The Kenai Peninsula Chapter meets the second Tuesday of each month at 12pm. Meeting locations alternate between Kenai PD and Soldotna PD.
No chapter meetings JUNE through SEPTEMBER.

The Mat-Su Chapter meets the first Thursday of each month at 11:30am at Strudel Bakers (6177 E. Mountain Heather Way, Unit #1 in Wasilla).  Lunch can be ordered off the menu prior to the meeting.

Guns & Hoses

February 22, 2026 @ 3:30pm

Sullivan Arena, Anchorage


The 25th Annual Guns N Hoses Charity Hockey game is going to be held at the Sullivan Arena on February 22nd, 2026 to benefit The Children’s Hospital at Providence. Team APD will be joined by Alaska Aces Alumni. The doors will open at 2:30 pm with the game starting at 3:30 pm. The intermissions will feature a demonstration by the APD SWAT and K-9 Units and a youth scrimmage. We would love that you bring the whole family and a donation to the Children’s Hospital if that’s something you’re able to do. Kids 10 and under get in free.  There will be a teddy bear toss on the first goal scored of the game! New teddy bears only please.

Virtual Human Trafficking Awareness Training (V_HTAT-2601)

Date/Time: Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (eastern) 

Cost: No Cost

Description: The Human Trafficking Awareness Training (HTAT) program provides students an in-depth understanding of current indicators that law enforcement and the private sector may observe in industries known for human trafficking. An overview of Federal statutes and applicable state law related to trafficking is referenced. The training is classroom oriented with case studies, videos, and student-centered learning activities to enhance the learning experience.

2026 APOA Concert Series

May 15 - 17

Join us for a special benefit concert series featuring Janie Fricke.  This unique tour brings the same powerful performance to multiple communities, giving supporters across the state the chance to attend while supporting a meaningful cause.

Proceeds from each concert will benefit the Alaska Peace Officers Association, helping us continue our mission to support Alaska’s law enforcement community and honor those who serve.
